We’ll our youngest child graduated high school. Yikes. There’s no denying Jean and I are on our path to old-hood, no matter how young we feel. But age is just a number so I hear. Aly’s COVID graduation was nothing short of completely unique. Dropping her off at the front […]

The Roosevelt Cheerleaders had a nice big article on the front page of the sports section in the Record Courier for their runner up position at the OASSA State Championships. I realize this article is right next to the other one so I won’t get too wordy about the accomplishment. […]
Between Nathan’s broken foot from cross-country, Nathan’s ripped quad from baseball, Brandon’s stress fracture from the first cross country meet and Brandon breaking his nose the first day of baseball tryouts, at least one of the Giuntos is having success in sports. Sorry boys. Aly’s high school cheerleading team got […]

Marking probably the last field trip either Jean or I will chaperone, Jean was able to go with Aly’s 8th grade class to Washington DC. Since I have been there four times already and went with both Nathan and Brandon’s class, I would have been a hog to go there […]
Really proud and excited to see Aly in her role as Annie in the 8th grade play at St Patrick School. She’s been practicing like crazy and excited and nervous about it. It’s playing at the Kent Stage on the corner of Main St & Depeyster and if you’re […]
Wow, I was definitely caught off guard at church this last weekend when the Knights of Columbus presented us with the 2015 Catholic Family of the Year award. A great appreciation to whomever was involved in giving this award to our family. I can’t say how super-proud it made me […]
The Moscow Ballet came into town (Cleveland) a few months ago and selected several kids to dance in their production of The Nutcracker. Aly’s been practicing with the other girls for a couple months and finally just before Christmas, had her bright and shiny moment. The performance was on December […]
I’m pretty proud of Aly for performing in her first solo at a dance competition. This weekend was busy as Jean and I were both at a wedding reception when Aly was to dance… at 8:00 at night! We couldn’t miss her first solo ever so snuck out of the […]
I put on my chaperone hat again over the last couple days for Aly’s 6th grade class at Camp Fitch. You would think there would be NOOO way we could possible get SNOW in mid April but….. just to put a finishing touch on the worst winter I can remember, […]

A little congratulations to Aly and the rest of the 5th & 6th grade cheerleaders on winning 1st place in the cheer competition today in North Royalton. Congrats to Nikki and all the other coaches on keeping the pom-poms in line. I know, there were no pom-poms.
Aly was caught in the Record Courier again asking a question at a field trip in Kent. St. Patrick School fourth-graders watch and ask questions as Portage Park District volunteer Dawn Alber teaches about river wildlife at Heritage Park in Kent.
I’m going to straight lift the text from the Gateway News on this one. The photo caption is probably readable but for search-engine purposes, I’m going to retype it! Aly Giunto, left, and Emalie Novotny, both 8, recently made donations to make a life a little better for children experiencing […]

Aly’s first communion this weekend went great. She was as excited as ever. She was able to sing the refrain during the first communion celebration. Be sure to check out the video below. My favorite part is her sitting down at the end and smiling ear to ear.
