On July 1, 2022 Nathan and Micayla were married at the new Tangiers. The venue was awesome and Nathan and Micayla put together the most incredible wedding I’ve ever been to. Every last part of it was awesome. Jean and I are proud to officially welcome Micayla to the family.

OMG we have a college graduate! So proud of Nate as he graduated from The University of Akron this weekend. May 9 to be exact. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering with Magna Cum Laude distinction and closed out his middle chapter of education. His dedication to […]
Just wanted to make a brief post congratulating Nathan on being accepted to Northeast Ohio Medical University. He’s been so dedicated to his studies over the last 4 years. It’s so gratifying to see hard work and dedication go rewarded. Really proud of you Nate, you’re going to make a […]
Well nothing helps emphasize you’re getting old like moving your child into college. Ugg. I’m so happy for Nate and looking forward to him starting this next phase of his life at The University of Akron. He seems super-focused and ready to go and since he’s had several classes at […]
Well I’ve talked quite a bit about milestones on this blog and today was another major one. Nate’s high school graduation from Kent Roosevelt. Super proud of him graduation with honors with a 3.95 GPA and proud of you for showing such efforts in academics and through your difficult sports […]
A big thank you to Matt Murphy for his outstanding work on Nate’s senior photos. Below is a link to a very large gallery of the experience. Nate’s Senior Photo Gallery
Nate made the Record Courier when he was captured in a photo of the Roosevelt Rowdies before a Friday night game. Front row, all the way on the right.
I had the opportunity to go on the week long mission trip with the St Joan of Arc CHAOS Youth Group to Cumberland, Kentucky. This was the 5th year in a row I was able to chaperone the group. This year was the largest group we’ve taken with 15 kids […]
For the 4th year in a row I accompanied the st joan of arc youth group to kentucky for their week long summer mission trip. Nate, Brandon and I were all able to make the trip this year. Our 9 kids and 3 adults while meeting up with 24 other […]
Wow, I was definitely caught off guard at church this last weekend when the Knights of Columbus presented us with the 2015 Catholic Family of the Year award. A great appreciation to whomever was involved in giving this award to our family. I can’t say how super-proud it made me […]
Yikes, Nate got his license this past week and he’s pretty excited about it. The day after his 16th birthday he took the test, passed and got the magic card to his freedom. Needless to say, he’s going crazy about being able to drive somewhere by himself. It was pretty […]
Another awesome day. Jean, Nate and I with some other family and friends took place in the Warrior Dash in Canal Fulton. In all we only had 8 of us this year. Some moderate running for a “non-runner” like myself, along with many obstacles and LOTS of mud. We adopted […]
For the 3rd straight year I was blessed enough to be able to go on the mission trip with St Joan of Arc’s youth group (C.H.A.O.S) to the Appalachian region. Our destination this year was Cumberland, Kentucky where they have a great base of operations that can reach out to […]
The picture by itself is pretty ambiguous but I know he was saying ‘Are you really taking a picture of me right now?’. I dropped Nate off for his first day of work at a real job. He earned his lifeguard certification over spring-break this year and he’s working a […]
Yet another milestone crossed at the Giunto house. These seem to be hitting us hard and quick now that the kids are beyond their childhood years. Nate got his temporary driving license Saturday morning. We went out Sunday morning with Brandon in the back-seat wondering if this would lead to […]
What a moment we had last night as Nate and Nick faced each other for the first time on opposite sides of the diamond. It certainly was odd being on the other side of the diamond from most of the kids I’ve coached for many years of my life, including […]
Just a little congratulations to Nate on his effort in Cross Country this year. He gave the sport a lot of dedication and I loved to see that. The coaches gave him a “Most Improved” award at the end-of-the year banquet for shaving almost 5 minutes off his time from […]
As expected, the warrior dash turned out another great year with alot of fun and alot of mud. Thank God they changed up the course a little and didn’t hit us with the one mile run up front. That was painful last year… not to show my hand with my […]
For the second year in a row I had the pleasure to go on a week long mission trip with the St Joan of Arc youth group (C.H.A.O.S.) to the Appalachia region. We worked out of London, Kentucky and visited St. Stephens in Cumberland, KY which will likely be our new […]
Well it’s one more of those unfortunately sad milestones I guess I’ll hit now that I’m over 40. But I can keep a smile on my face reflecting back over the years. I’ve coached over 20 of Nate’s football, basketball and baseball teams for over 10 years now and yesterday […]
The Record Courier took a photo of Nate’s class for collecting pennies for St Judes. Below is the article caption. St Pat students collect pennies for St. Jude’s. During Catholic Schools’ Week, the classes at St Patrick School in Kent competed against each other to collect the most pennies as […]
