Philly Cheese Steaks

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 lb beef
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp basil
  • 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • Grilled Bell Peppers (optional)
  • Hot Cherry Peppers (optional)
  • Sliced Onion (optional)
  • Sliced Mushrooms (optional)
  • Provolone Cheese Slices
  • Hoagie Rolls

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Combine all dry seasonings into small cup
  2. Warm 1 TBSP Olive Oil in Frying Pan
  3. Brown thinly sliced beef, adding 3/4 dry seasons half-way through
  4. Put beef aside keeping warm
  5. In same or another frying pan, add another 1 TBSP Olive Oil.
  6. Saute chosen vegetables, adding remaining dry seasonings half-way through 
  7. Preheat broiler to LOW heat.
  8. Mayo all hoagie buns and lay open on baking sheet
  9. Place cheese slices on one side of hoagie roll
  10. Place meat then, vegetables + more cheese on other side of hoagie roll
  11. Place in broiler until cheese is melted.
  12. Close hoagie using knife. (can wrap in foil to keep warm)
