Fried Pickles

BATTER MIX INGREDIENTS: (combine all in bowl 1)

  • 3/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon season-all
  • Combine all batter ingredients and stir until smooth, let sit at least 5 minutes.

BREADCRUMBS INGREDIENTS: (combine all in bowl 2)

  • 1/2 cup Progressive Panko Breadcrumbs

FLOUR MIX INGREDIENTS: (combine in bowl 3)

  • 1/2 cup flour


  1. Preheat oil to 360-370 degrees F.
  2. Dab pickle slices on paper towels to dry them. Place about 1/2 cup of Panko bread crumbs in a bowl (add more as needed). (If they get wet, they don’t stick so it’s best to work in small batches.)
  3. Dip pickle in flour bowl (first time)
  4. Dip pickle in batter mix bowl
  5. Dip pickle in flour bowl (second time)
  6. Dip pickle in batter mix bowl
  7. Dip pickle in BREADCRUMBS & shake to cover.
  8. Place pickles on wax paper to allow breadcrumbs to stick to batter.
  9. Fry in small batches for 3-4 minutes or until brown and crispy.
  10. Serve with ranch dip.
