Potato Sausage Casserole (Tina)

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 lb sausage (browned & crumbled)
  • 5 cups potatoes (sliced thin)
  • 1 Tbsp butter (melted into liquid)
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese (grated)
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can milk
  • 1/2 cup onion (chopped)
  • 1/4 cup green pepper(chopped)

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Brown sausage & crumble into small pieces
  3. Combine: Soup, milk, onion & pepper into bowl
  4. Grease a 9×13 casserole dish
  5. Place 1/3 potatoes into dish
  6. Place 1/3 sausage into dish
  7. Place 1/3 soup mixture into dish
  8. Add 1/3 butter across layer
  9. Repeat above 4 steps using all potatoes, sausage & soup mix & butter
  10. Cover with foil, Bake at 350 for 75 minutes
  11. Remove foil, sprinkle cheese over entire dish
  12. Bake uncovered 5-7 minutes or until cheese is melted
