Lo Mein

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 LB Lo-mein noodles
  • 1 carrot, julienned (sliced into match sticks)
  • 1/2 cup cabbage (chopped or thin slivers)
  • 1/2 cup onion sliced in slivers (not chopped)

    SAUCE MIX
  • 3 TBSP soy sauce
  • 2 TBSP oyster sauce or hoisin sauce
  • 2 TBSP sugar
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1/8 tsp dried ginger
  • dash of pepper

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Begin boiling water.
  2. Prepare sauce mix in small bowl combining 7 ingredients above.
  3. Cook noodles as per package, drain and toss in bowl with 1 TBSP oil (set aside).
  4. In LARGE skillet over high heat, add 1 TBSP oil and all 3 vegetables.
  5. Stir until slightly seared (about 3 minutes)
  6. Add in noodles & sauce and toss together until well combined.
  7. Add additional 1 tsp of soy sauce while tossing.
  8. Serve
